Shaina Olmanson is a portrait, lifestyle and food photographer based in Minnesota, where she and her husband Ole raise their four children. She believes that a photograph should capture the essence of the subject, be it the smell of a newborn's skin or the heat from a warm cup of soup.

She is the home cook and writer behind Food for My Family and can usually be found in one of three places: behind the camera, cooking or at the computer. More often than not, these three things occur in the kitchen simultaneously with kids hanging from her apron strings and her camera strap.
